Coastal Expressway (Shenzhen Section) is an important component of Shenzhen expressway network,which extending from the boundary between Dongguan and Shenzhen to Nanshan District, Shenzhen and connecting with HongKong-Shenzhen Western Corridor in the south. It is the main passageway for the three port areas of Shekou, Chiwan and Dachan Bay in the west of Shenzhen. The connecting lane on the Shenzhen side of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link of the Phase II of Coastal Expressway (ShenzhenSection) connects the Jihe Expressway in the east and the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link in the west was completed and open to traffic in June 2024 to align with the opening to traffic of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link.
